What cookies are

Small files your browser stores on your device. We use them for one thing: so that after logging in the browser remembers who you are, and so that the staff screen remembers the chosen language. Alongside cookies we use browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) for small settings.

Strictly necessary cookies — set by Vantote

All of them are set only after you log in or act (e.g. choose a language). Merely visiting the homepage stores no Vantote cookie.

• vantote_owner — owner or team-account session in the panel; 7 days; HTTP-only (scripts cannot read it).
• vantote_admin — Vantote administrator session; 7 days; HTTP-only.
• vantote_staff — staff session after entering a PIN on the tag; 16 hours (one shift); HTTP-only.
• staff_locale, guest_locale — chosen language of the tag screen (staff / guest); 1 year; HTTP-only.

Browser storage — no cookies

• vantote-theme (localStorage) — remembered light/dark theme choice in the panel. Never leaves your browser.
• sessionStorage on the staff screen — a copy of the ticked checklist and photos for the duration of a cleaning, so a brief loss of signal loses nothing; cleared when the tab closes.

Cloudflare technical cookies

The site and app are served by the Cloudflare network, and the request form and login screens are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare may set its own technical security cookies (e.g. __cf_bm, cf_clearance) — used solely to tell humans from bots and prevent abuse, not for advertising or profiling. The Turnstile script loads only when you click into the form.

What we do NOT use

No Google Analytics or other analytics, no ad pixels, heat maps, third-party chats or social-media plugins. We do not track you across sites.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will prevent logging into the panel and working on the staff screen — the homepage will keep working.
